An ISO tank is a tank container that is built according to ISO standards. The ISO standards come from the International Organization for Standardization, which makes the container suitable for both modal and intermodal transport. This makes the ISO tank very flexible in the various transport options. These tanks are built for the transport and storage of liquids. Not only for normal liquids, but also dangerous substances can be transported in this way. 

The tank container consists of a stainless steel vessel with various protective layers over the steel. Hence, the ISO tank is one of the safest ways to transport liquids. Depending on the substances that go into the ISO tanks, the right protective layer is applied, so that the liquid can be transported correctly. In this way, between 21,000 and 40,000 liters can be transported, depending on the size of the tank.

• ISO tank containers are made of stainless steel, which gives them a long service life of at least 25-30 years. Even when a tank container is irreparably damaged, it can be recycled or reprocessed into other parts or things.
